Height safety
Melbourne

Hayes Height Services designs, installs and certifies height safety systems for commercial, strata, industrial and government buildings across Melbourne and Victoria. From a single roof anchor to full static line, ladder and walkway systems, every installation is compliant, load tested and fully documented.

Installation is only half the job. Every anchor point needs inspection and load testing every 12 months to stay compliant. We run that annual recertification program for you, so your building stays compliant and trades can always work safely on your roof.

We work with strata managers, facility managers, builders and building owners across Melbourne CBD, inner suburbs, and all of Victoria.

Recertification, done properly

Every anchor point on your building needs inspection and load testing every 12 months. Miss it, and trades legally can't connect to your system. Window cleaners, roofers and maintenance contractors get held up, and the building carries the risk.

We run recertification programs for buildings across Melbourne. Calibrated load testing on every anchor, and a report you can actually use.

  • Every anchor load tested with calibrated equipment, not just looked at
  • Full digital report: asset register, test results, photos, pass/fail status
  • Anchors physically tagged on the roof with inspection dates
  • Annual reminders so your building never falls out of compliance
  • Failed anchors quoted for repair or replacement straight away
Why Hayes Height Services

Installed by people who actually work at height

Anyone can bolt an anchor to a roof. Our technicians are rope access trained and work at height every single day, not just on install jobs. We understand how these systems get used, because we're the ones hanging off them.

  • Rope access trained. Our technicians work on ropes daily. We install systems the way the people using them need them to work.
  • Rescue capable. As certified rope access technicians we're trained to perform rescues at height. If something goes wrong on a roof, we're equipped to get a worker down safely. Very few height safety installers can say that.
  • Install, certify, recertify. One contractor for the whole lifecycle of your system. We install it, certify it, and come back every 12 months to keep it compliant.
  • Documentation that holds up. Layout plans, test results, asset registers and compliance certificates. Everything your building manager or auditor will ever ask for.
  • Direct communication. No call centres. You deal with the people responsible for your job from first call to sign-off.

Common questions
Height safety FAQs
How often do roof anchor points need to be recertified?

Every 12 months, in line with AS/NZS 1891.4 and manufacturer requirements. If anchors are overdue, workers can't legally use them, which holds up window cleaning, roofing and maintenance works on your building.

What standards apply to anchor point installation in Melbourne?

Anchor points are designed and installed to AS/NZS 5532 and AS/NZS 1891.4, alongside Victorian OHS regulations covering work at height. Every system we install is load tested and supplied with full compliance documentation.

Can you certify anchor points installed by another company?

Yes. We inspect, load test and recertify existing systems regardless of who installed them, including Kattsafe, SafetyLink and other major brands. If your original installer is no longer around, we can take over the annual program.

What happens if an anchor fails testing?

Failed anchors are tagged out of service immediately and clearly identified in your report so nobody connects to them. We then quote to repair or replace the failed anchors and recertify them once the work is done.

What do we receive after certification?

A full digital report including an asset register of every anchor, individual test results, photos, pass and fail status, and a certificate of compliance for your records. Anchors are physically tagged on the roof with their inspection date.

How much does anchor point certification cost in Melbourne?

It depends on the number of anchors and how the roof is accessed. Per-anchor rates apply for larger systems. Send us your building address and roughly how many anchors you have and we'll quote within 24 hours.
